| WB Wants To Shoot A DC Film Now For A 2018 Release
Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe got off to a rocky start. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad has given the vast majority the confidence the franchise needs to believe that it can compete with Marvel Studios. Still, early reactions to Wonder Woman have given us some assurance that there can be a decent DCEU film. James Wan is behind the lens for Aquaman. And despite some of the creative fallout, The Batman seems to be headed in the right direction now that Matt Reeves is the director. Now there is word that Warner Bros. wants to start shooting a DC film this year. With The Batman set for a possible 2018 shoot, the rumor is that the studio has narrowed it down to five possible choices. Check out which film it could be here below.

| ‘Suicide Squad 2’ Gets ‘The Legend Of Tarzan’ Writer To Pen Script
Yes, Suicide Squad was one of the most polarizing films of 2016, but its box office success was enough to warrant the obvious sequel. But with writer and director David Ayer moving on to helm Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2 is in need of a writer and director. There is a rumor that the studio is eyeing Mel Gibson to direct, though we have yet to hear about it from either party. However, there is confirmation that The Legend of Tarzan scribe Adam Cozad is in talks to pen the script. Yeah, the sequel doesn’t sound promising, at all. More on the story below.

| Mel Gibson In Early Talks To Direct ‘Suicide Squad 2’
It’s being reported that Mel Gibson has emerged as a candidate to direct Suicide Squad 2 for Warner Bros., who has entered into talks with the Oscar-winning director and actor. The report states that these talks are very early, and Gibson is only one of the directors being looked at for the job. Another is Safe House, Child 44, and Life director Daniel Espinosa.

| David Ayer Admits He Should Have Done ‘Suicide Squad’ Differently
Suicide Squad may not be the most popular film amongst critics and some fans, but it was one of the top-grossing films of last year. Warner Bros. third entry of the DC Extended Universe was polarizing in more ways than one. The loyal fanbase supported the film even though critics eviscerated it for having too many plotholes and a lack of character motivation. But if there is one thing that Suicide Squad suffered from the most, it’s the fact that the marketing campaign failed to deliver its promise on giving us the Joker (Jared Leto). Sure the Clown Price of Crime was in the film, but trailers and TV spots had assured us he would be a vital plot point. Instead, he was an unnecessary factor. Even Leto voiced his displeasure saying that he shot enough footage for a Joker movie. The extended edition supports that fact.
