Jimmy Fallon and the Muppets on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon made his last appearance last night as host of Late Night, the NBC late-night talk show he’s hosted since 2009. As his final send-off on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the 39-year-old Fallon performed with The Muppets doing The Band’s Last Waltz version of “The Weight.”

Check out the video of the performance here below.

Fallon now moves on to his new gig as host of NBC’s The Tonight Show, taking over for the departing Jay Leno, while fellow SNL alumn Seth Meyers heads to the helm of Late Night starting February 24, 2014.

The Geeks Of Doom Round Up 11: Remembering Levon Helm, Dick Clark, and Greg Ham

The eleventh episode of The Geeks Of Doom Round Up is here, and Andy pays tribute to Levon Helm from The Band who passed away this week, as we review a clip from the movie, The Last Waltz. For our music selection this week, it’s a week of tribute to the fallen, as we pay tribute to Dick Clark and his dedication to rock and roll through the years, with a clip of him introducing KISS playing “Rock And Roll All Night.”

Later, we also take a look at Bethesda’s new upcoming game called Dishonored, and review the recent casting news for Iron Man 3. Finally, we also pay tribute to Greg Ham from Men At Work who also died this week as we close our show with the song “Who Can It Be Now?”

Helm had been diagnosed with throat cancer in the late 1990s, undergoing radiation treatment that damaged his voice.

Helm, who was the drummer for The Band and also sometimes lead singer, is best known for his deeply soulful and country twinged vocals on radio staples as “The Weight,” “Up on Cripple Creek,” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.” The Band, while never reaching massive success in terms of sales, was a critical and cult favorite of many to this day, and Helm was one of the fan favorites in the group.
