Warner Bros. isn’t giving up on the cinematic version of The Flash. Though the Scarlett Speedster has only made two cameo appearances, with his first major one coming in Justice League, he has yet to appear in his own standalone film. After the studio had a falling out with Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa over creative differences, the studio went back to the drawing board, canned ditched Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s draft, and opted to use a script written by Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword).

Now WB is ready to find a director. It’s being reported that Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), who had been previously rumored, is still in the running, while the studio has also had meetings with Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kingsman) and Sam Raimi (Evil Dead and Spider-Man trilogies). Martin, Danielle Nicolet) away, but then fixed it, revealing all to her. Cisco and Killer Frost (Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker) kept going soft on each other. The team found Tracy Brand (Anne Dudek) and told her the future. HR (Tom Cavanagh) had a crush.

Last week on The Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) went to the year 2024 to find out who Savitar really is. Future Cisco (Carlos Valdes) was super happy to see him. He wanted to get the gang back together, because after Iris (Candice Patton) died, Barry went in a downward spiral. And he never did find out Savitar’s identity. Barry went to return to 2017, but got stuck and helped Cisco reunite everyone. They defeated 2 metas, and Future Barry gave Barry some tech that may help save Iris.

Warner Bros.’ big-screen adaptation of The Flash has seen better days. The standalone feature for the Scarlet Speedester lost two directors over creative differences in one year alone, and will undoubtedly miss its March 16, 2018, release date. Still, the studio firmly believes that the film deserves a theatrical debut. Now that may be happening, as WB is reportedly setting their sights on Back To The Future director Robert Zemeckis to helm the film. More on the story below.

Last time on The Flash, the new meta in town was Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian), a 64th century Flash-hating villain with Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) on his tail. He withheld Savitar knowledge. Barry (Grant Gustin) won’t free the murderer in a deal, but Joe (Jesse L. Martin) did. A fight and ensued and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) got speared with a pole, making surgery with no anesthesia and no doctor a necessity. Julian (Tom Felton) managed to do a decent job to no avail. Caitlin coded. Julian pulled off her protective necklace turning her into Killer Frost. Barry told Joe and Iris he was going to the future for answers.
