| HBO Orders ‘The Leftovers’ Season 3; Will Be Final Season
HBO has officially ordered a third season of The Leftovers, but the news will no doubt be bittersweet for fans of the series, as it has also been confirmed that season three will be its final season. The show, whose second season just recently came to a close a few days ago, comes from Damon Lindelof (LOST, Prometheus) and Tom Perrotta (Little Children) based on Perrotta’s book of the same name.

| First Trailer For HBO’s Rapture Drama ‘The Leftovers’ From Damon Lindelof
It was back in September that were found out that HBO had committed to an entire season of The Leftovers, the new drama from LOST co-creator and co-showrunner Damon Lindelof. Now the first teaser trailer has been released online. The show, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is based on the book of the same name by author Tom Perrotta, and tells the story of those who were left behind after the “Sudden Departure”—an event very similar to the Bible’s Rapture—and how they cope and move forward after many people they know and love disappear.
