| ‘Legion’ Won’t Take Place In The X-Men Film Universe, But Another Show Will
Unlike their Marvel Cinematic Universe competitors, Fox’s X-Men film universe is a bit limited. This is due to the fact that they do not have access to any of the Marvel characters other than their own. However, that hasn’t stopped them from expanding it with reboots, spinoffs, and TV series. Legion, Fox’s first new X-Men series, will premiere in just a couple of weeks. Many have speculated that it will take place some time after the events of the X-Men film universe. With that formula working so well for Disney and Marvel, it only makes sense that Fox try to replicate it. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. In fact, it will not take place in the film universe at all, according to producer Lauren Shuler Donner. A different X-Men TV series, however, will. | WHAM! Deadpool Rumored To Be Making A Cameo In ‘Logan’

| 20th Century Fox’s X-Men Film Franchise At A Crossroads, May Be Headed Towards A Reboot
20th Century Fox’s X-Men film franchise has been fairly successful, grossing over $4 billion dollars since they acquired the rights to the characters in the 1990s. Despite Deadpool performing well beyond anyone’s expectations, X-Men: Apocalypse had a poor box office showing, and many of the cast’s contracts are or are about to expire. That’s not all. Deadpool 2 is currently looking for a director. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Gambit is still in a production stall. While the studio will release Logan next year, what comes next for the franchise is still very much in the air. Which is why, according to a new report, Fox is considering giving the X-Men another reboot. Check out the full story below.
