Far away from Forks, Washington in the quaint little Bayou town of Bon Temps, Louisiana is where vampire fiction for a mature audience takes place — True Blood produced by Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) , which will make its season 3 premiere tonight.
Season two ended with the gang defeating the god-like Maynard beast — otherwise known as Maryann — who was thwarted by shape-shifter Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) during her ultimate bestial sacrifice.
This season begins with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) turning to Eric for help in finding her 173-year-old boyfriend Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) who vanished after proposing to her.
True Blood Season 3, Episode 1 “Bad Blood” airs June 13 at 9 pm EST (8 pm CST) on HBO. Check out the official trailer below and remember to set those TiVo boxes or DVRs.
Loved it. My wife and I settle in every Sunday Night for True Blood. I am glade they have decided to introduce Werewolves. We already knew from past episodes that Lycans were present, but the “Spoiler” face off between Bill and a pack of Werewolves last night was cool. Although you don’t see what happens the lead up is awesome as Bill says: “I must warn you, I have fed!”.
I am glad to see this show back for season 3.
True Blood so far has kept to test book lore, and is a far cry from the gay ass SPARKLY vamps of Twilight.
