Cast of Community

Fans of the NBC comedy Community will be able to see their favorite characters as puppets in an upcoming episode of the show, which is set to air some time this spring.

In the episode, the study group goes on a wild balloon ride and end up crashing in the woods, and spending some time with a friendly mountain man. The experience has everyone feeling a bit awkward, so in order to speak about it freely, they all use puppet versions of themselves to share the tale.

Oz The Great and Powerful Header

Yesterday we reported that Disney was moving forward with a sequel to Oz The Great and Powerful, by hiring Mitchell Kapner to pen the script. Experts are predicting that the film, which was released on March 8, 2013, will gross around the $80-$90 million range in its opening weekend. With numbers like that, it’s not a surprise that the studio would green light a sequel for the highly anticipated film.

Unfortunately it seems like one of the pieces won’t be returning to the land of Oz. Bleeding Cool has found out that director Sam Raimi will not be likely to return to direct Oz The Great and Powerful 2. Check out his spoilerish reasons for not returning here below.

DVD
Directed by Uwe Boll
Starring Will Sanderson, Michael Paré, Ralf Möller, Jodelle Ferland, Michael Eklund
Vivendi Entertainment
Originally Released: April 27, 2007

I recently had a long discussion with a good friend about my ever-ongoing obsession with horror films, and my quest to find more movies that were visually challenging.

"Oh, you need to see Seed," she told me. Being a horror aficionado herself, she surprised me continuing with, "I even had trouble watching it".

Naturally I added it to the top of my queue.

Directed by "love him or hate him" Uwe Boll, Seed follows the story of imprisoned serial killer Maxwell "Max" Seed (Will Sanderson). Arrested for his morbid death toll of 666 deaths (as cheesy as that sounds, it’s fitting as you will later read), he is on death row facing execution. Despite protest from the Executioner (Michael Eklund) to Warden Calgrove (Ralf Möller) on the failing condition of the electric chair, the authorities push forward with zapping Seed.

Joss Whedon

There’s been a handful of conflicting standalone Hulk film reports floating around the web in the past few weeks. It all started when Latino-Review had an exclusive scoop on the future of the character and his standalone films. Marvel Studios didn’t comment on the subject when the news broke, but the people behind the film began to speak out about the impossibility of there being a solo Hulk film, namely The Avengers and The Avengers 2 director Joss Whedon.

Back then he said making a solo Hulk film would be “very, very hard.” Now, Whedon is clarifying his previous statements, but also maintaining that they don’t know much about the solo Hulk film that is supposedly being planned for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
