If you’re about to watch John Dies At The End, you are about to fall into a glorious universe of ridiculousness and weirdness you’ve not yet experienced. This flick is part Twilight Zone, part X-Files, part horror, part comedy, and all brilliant – from balls to bones, and will be an immediate classic among geeks and horror fans alike.

David Wong, and his friend John Cheese, find themselves entering a completely new realm of reality and unreality when they come across a new drug they dub “The Soy Sauce.” The substance causes them to open up a whole range of perceptions, and provides them the ability to see and experience creatures and things that “normal” people just cannot perceive.

Pixar had been regarded as a studio who could produce high quality original films. Then they dipped their toes into sequels, and for all the sequels they have made, only one can be considered the worst of not only the sequels, but of Pixar’s entire library itself. While Monsters University is definitely a step in the right direction for the studio, after two softball films – Cars 2 and Brave, the film itself is a prequel.

But for fans who are worried that the studio is straying away from original content, Ed Catmull, the President of Pixar, said that the studio is hoping to do an original movie every single year, and sequels every other year.

Just over a week ago we heard news from Arnold Schwarzenegger that Terminator 5 would start production early next year, and that he was going to star in the film. At first it was thought that he would be playing a human character, whose likeness would be used to build human molds that would cover the terminators. But the actor said that he would be playing a terminator, giving the impression that the Terminator universe was expanding.

But a new press release could very well strike down that notion, as it describes the project as a reboot that will pave the way for a brand new trilogy. In addition, Annapurna has also announced the release date for the film.

Considering all of the environmental concerns and fears out there right now, it was really only a matter of time. Sony Pictures is nearing a deal to acquire the rights to turn the hit ’90s cartoon Captain Planet and the Planeteers into a feature film.

The series followed five teens from around the world who are given magical rings by the Earth spirit Gaia (voiced first by Whoopie Goldberg and then by Margot Kidder) that give each a special power related to something specific. They include Kwame (voiced by LeVar Burton) from Africa (Earth!), Wheeler from North America (Fire!), Linka from Eastern Europe (Wind!), Gi from Asia (Water!), and Ma-Ti from South America (Heart!). And when these five powers combine, they summon the mighty superhero himself, Captain Planet!
