Aaron Paul‘s time as Jesse Pinkman comes to a dramatic conclusion when Breaking Bad airs its series finale this Sunday. While there is very little chance of seeing the same character on the Breaking Bad Saul Goodman spinoff, we’ll still get to see more of Paul as the actor is making the jump from the small screen to the big screen. The actor will star in next year’s big screen adaptation of Need For Speed, based on the popular video game of the same name. Check out the first trailer after the jump.

In 2012, Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri teamed with writer Matt Hawkins to bring about an updated, re-imagined version of his cyber-enhanced super-team comic, Cyber Force. Celebrating twenty years since the series’ first launch, the creative team brought on illustrator Khoi Pham and began a Kickstarter campaign to raise enough funds to provide the first five issues completely free of charge! The first volume provides a great introduction of the characters and story for a Cyber Force newbie like myself. Carin is the daughter of the chairman and chairwoman of the CDI — a powerful cybernetic research organization that has been the guiding light to the world for many years. When 16-year-old Carin discovers that her father plans to systematically annihilate the human species in order to start the world over, she goes in search Morgan Stryker — a genetically modified cyber-human whom she believes may be able to help prevent the devastating scenario from occurring. Taken in by a group of rogue SHOCS — cybernetic soldiers — who are now deemed terrorists by the CDI, Carin has little time to convince them of her father’s plans, gain their trust, and find the one man who can help them all.

Zombies permeate our entertainment at all levels these days. Though, in truth, they have morphed quite a bit from the old shuffling feet and inexhaustible searching for brains versions that I grew up on several decades ago. Popular television shows and even classic literature have fallen victim, but few have any originality to them. They are after all, just zombies. That’s where The Other Dead #1 changes the game a tad. You see, this isn’t about just regular old zombies…it’s about things OTHER than man becoming reanimated and doing horrible things to those around them. The premiere issue of this six issue mini-series is all about the setup, though some things have already begun that will affect the storyline later on. In this comic, we get a fine sampling of animals gone wild, er…undead. From hunters taking down wild game that comes back to unlife to rend them limb from limb to ritually sacrificed animals coming back to exact vengeance on those who did them wrong. This all seems to be taking place in the deep south, namely southern Louisiana.
