The future is inevitable. Cyber Force, Vol. 2 picks up right where the first volume left off, as the heroes try to escape CDI (CyberData Industries) after a violent confrontation with CDI’s chairman. Just as one threat is extinguished, a new CDI created menace with a personal vendetta against Ripclaw emerges. As the team tries to elude their new, deadly foe — while doing their best to keep one of their own alive — the new chairwoman of CDI begins her nefarious plans for the creation of a new earth.

In 2012, Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri teamed with writer Matt Hawkins to bring about an updated, re-imagined version of his cyber-enhanced super-team comic, Cyber Force. Celebrating twenty years since the series’ first launch, the creative team brought on illustrator Khoi Pham and began a Kickstarter campaign to raise enough funds to provide the first five issues completely free of charge! The first volume provides a great introduction of the characters and story for a Cyber Force newbie like myself.

Carin is the daughter of the chairman and chairwoman of the CDI — a powerful cybernetic research organization that has been the guiding light to the world for many years. When 16-year-old Carin discovers that her father plans to systematically annihilate the human species in order to start the world over, she goes in search Morgan Stryker — a genetically modified cyber-human whom she believes may be able to help prevent the devastating scenario from occurring. Taken in by a group of rogue SHOCS — cybernetic soldiers — who are now deemed terrorists by the CDI, Carin has little time to convince them of her father’s plans, gain their trust, and find the one man who can help them all.

The October GoD List

Each and every week “I am the tag team champions!” Henchman21 AND “NO! I AM THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!” MK2Fac3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, they looks forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? Single issues and trades, they’re all here.

Well, well, well, look who’s making his triumphant return? It’s me, it’s me, it’s the d-o-double-me. That’s right, you might have thought I was dead, and I might have been, but I’ve been resurrected by a magical coven of three unholy sorceresses who wish to remain nameless. But much like a Marvel Zombie, not only am I amongst the walking dead, but I’ve also got the magical power of watching loads of professional wrestling and reading comics. There’s been a lot that I’ve missed out on, but let’s get back in the spirit of Halloween with some great comics that might just spook your brain. Well, at least my picks will do that, Chris on the other hand, he does whatever he wants. And oh yeah, Batman is freaking awesome. Get out of my face. GoD List!!!!
