| Listen To The First Sample Of Henry Jackman’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Soundtrack |
By BAADASSSSS!

One of the highlights of 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger was the rousing and adventurous orchestral score composed by the great Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Predator). It had plenty of brassy, militaristic swagger but also managed to hit a few emotional sweet spots. Whether listened to on its own or enjoyed with the rest of the movie, Silvestri’s music just flat-out worked. Thus I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed when it was announced that Silvestri — who also did a bang-up job scoring last year’s Marvel mega-blockbuster The Avengers — would not be returning to provide the musical accompaniment for the Sentinel of Liberty’s super sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Instead, the task was handed over to Henry Jackman, who has proven his worth in recent years with terrific scores for Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It Ralph, and most recently This is the End. Now, Marvel Studios posted a brief snippet of Jackman’s score for Winter Soldier — you can listen to the music sample here below.

Italian director Dario Argento revolutionized 1970’s horror cinema with masterpieces such as Deep Red, Suspiria, and (collaborating as a producer, with George Romero directing) Dawn of the Dead. His influence has been cited by directors such as John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, and Guillermo Del Toro. The subjects of his films have included serial killers, witches, and zombies. But never has Argento tackled the topic of the fanged Prince of Darkness himself…until now. A new trailer for Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D has been released, and it single-handedly kicks the ass of every sparkly-skinned emo to ever disgrace the genre. Check out the trailer here below.
