In the new web series Hero Therapy, Dr. Larry Lewis, a respected clinical psychologist, mentally evaluates some of fiction’s most popular heroes, like Frank Castle aka The Punisher, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, and Alien heroine Ellen Ripley. And with characters like these, you know there’s plenty to psychoanalyze. James Wan can do no wrong with a limited budget, and with Insidious: Chapter 2 winning the box office this weekend with $40.1 million – on a $5 million budget – FilmDistrict announcing that it has plans to develop Insidious: Chapter 3 doesn’t come as a complete surprise. Deadline reports that film star and screenplay writer for both Insidious films Leigh Whannell has been brought back to write the third installment of the highly successful franchise. However, there will have to be a search for a new director, as Wan has announced that he has officially retired from directing horror films. More on the retirement after the jump.

| AMC Gives ‘The Walking Dead’ Spinoff The Greenlight |

Hot off the news that AMC would be moving forward with a Breaking Bad spinoff, tentatively titled Better Call Saul based on the character Saul Goodman, comes word that the network is moving forward with another spinoff based off one of their highly successful shows. According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC has given the greenlight for an untitled Walking Dead spinoff. The announcement was made by the network, The Walking Dead comic book creator Robert Kirkman, and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert.
