| ‘LOST’ Writer and ‘Cabin In The Woods’ Director Drew Goddard To Write Netflix’s Daredevil Series
Recently we found out that Netflix and Marvel were joining forces to produce four new live-action series for the streaming service based on four different comic book characters, each running 13 episodes and then concluding with the four joining forces to create The Defenders in a special miniseries. One of the four characters—the most recognizable, thanks in part to a certain Ben Affleck motion picture—is Daredevil, the “Man Without Fear,” who was blinded in an accident when he was young, heightening his other senses to superhuman levels. Now, according to sources, a writer has been found for the series. It’s being reported that LOST writer/producer and The Cabin in the Woods writer/director Drew Goddard has entered into negotiations to pen the series.

A Piggy’s Tale is an upcoming comic project about a three-legged rescue dog, Piggy, who inherits mysterious super powers from a pig! Piggy the dog is joined in his adventures by Simon, the mischievous cat. Together they travel throughout the Big Apple to protect the helpless, stop bullies, and bring hope to the hopeless. Series creator and writer Tod Emko has based the story on his real-life companions, Piggy and Simon, which he rescued on two separate occasions through veterinarian efforts. The Kickstarter campaign is trying to raise funds to release two full-colored issues, as well as create digital goodies and a smartphone game.

| Disney Theatrical Productions and William Goldman To Bring ‘The Princess Bride’ To The Stage
Disney Theatrical Productions is teaming up with William Goldman to bring beloved fairy tale The Princess Bride to the stage. Disney will work with Goldman to adapt The Princess Bride—from both his 1973 original book and his screenplay for the 1987 classic movie of the same name—and it’s not yet clear whether the final product will be a musical or a play. The deal was put together by Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn, who was involved with the movie adaptation while he was at Castle Rock Entertainment.

If you’re following American Horror Story: Coven, the current witch-centric season of the FX series, then you know that one of the characters, Misty, is obsessed with Stevie Nicks and refers to the singer as the “white witch,” pointing to evidence in the lyrics of the Fleetwood Mac songstress’s “Rhiannon.” With so much Nicks being used in this third season, is it any surprise that the show has snagged the singer to make a guest appearance?! American Horror Story co-creator posted to his Twitter account today that Nicks would be coming to Coven: “Guess who’s visiting the Coven? The legendary Stevie Nicks!”

| Disney Releases New Poster For ‘Maleficent’ Featuring Angelina Jolie
A new poster for Maleficent has been released by Walt Disney, featuring Angelina Jolie as the feared villainess. The movie is something of a prequel, and also a retelling of Disney’s classic 1959 animated feature, Sleeping Beauty, taking the film’s primary antagonist, Maleficent (Jolie), and telling the story of who she was before, how an act of betrayal turned her heart to stone, and why she ultimately cursed a young princess named Aurora.
