‘Wonder Woman’ Movie: ‘The Walking Dead’ Director Michelle MacLaren Top Choice To Helm

A frontrunner has emerged to direct DC’s Wonder Woman solo movie for Warner Brothers.
According to reports, the studio’s top choice for the job is TV director Michelle MacLaren, whose past credits include multiple episodes of TV juggernauts Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. Other shows she has helmed episodes of include The X-Files, Lie to Me, Camelot, Hell on Wheels, The Leftovers, and the upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul.
Wonder Woman will make her debut in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, played by actress Gal Gadot. The Wonder Woman solo film is currently planned for a 2017 release.
If curious, episodes of Game of Thrones MacLaren has directed are “The Bear and the Maiden Fair,” “Second Sons,” “Oathkeeper,” and “First of His Name.” Episodes of The Walking Dead she has directed are “Guts,” “Pretty Much Dead Already,” and “A.”
Episodes of Breaking Bad she has directed are “4 Days Out,” “I.F.T.,” “One Minute,” “Abiquiu,” “Thirty-Eight Snub,” ” Shotgun,” “Salud,” “Madrigal,” “Gliding Over All,” “Buried,” and “To’hajiilee.”
MacLaren has won two Primetime Emmy awards as a producer on Breaking Bad.

That’s an awesome choice for a strong woman lead movie. I mean, look at her work on Breaking Bad, especially ‘To’hajiilee’. She’s an amazing director.
