Back in January, we got a motion poster release date reveal, with a follow-up the next month with the long-awaited teaser trailer for Marvel’s Daredevil series. By the looks of things so far, it seems like it will be substantially darker than what the rest of Marvel TV has to offer.
Now, a second motion poster has been released, along with a first full look at Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk as well as more images from the upcoming Netflix series.
Check it all out here below!
Charlie Cox plays blind lawyer Matt Murdock as well as the titular series hero/vigilante. The series also stars Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
All in all, the Daredevil portions of the show so far look pretty dark and gritty. In the teaser trailer, we got to see a glimpse of what Daredevil’s extra sensory sonar looks like, which is a much better approach to the character than what they did in the Daredevil film, as it will keep the audience engaged throughout the 13 episodes.
Producers have also confirmed that Bullseye won’t appear this season, but may appear next.
Daredevil is the first of four series planned for release on Netflix, and will premiere on the streaming site on April 10. AKA Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, David Tenant, Mike Colter, Carrie Anne-Moss, and Rachel Taylor, will start shooting soon for a later 2015 release. Luke Cage and Iron Fist will debut in the future, all of it culminating to the ensemble series The Defenders.
“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
