iZombie
Season 1 Episode 5: “Flight Of The Living Dead”
Directed by David Warren
Written by Deirdre Mangan
Created by Rob Thomas
Starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders
The CW
Air Date: Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, 9:00pm Before I review iZombie 1.5 “Flight Of The Living Dead,” let me recap what happened to the cutest zombie in America last week. Previously, on iZombie 1.4 “Live and Let Clive,” this episode was about… you guessed it – Clive (Malcolm Goodwin)! It was an Asian gang murder (you could tell by the missing fingers), and Liv’s (Rose McIver) vision stars Clive as the bad guy! Now normally she would give him the benefit of the doubt, but he is also being very secretive and not letting him help on the case. Dr. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) thinks she’s jumping to conclusions and we now know he was right. The other storyline is the lucrative brain business that Blaine (David Anders) is running. He has a chef creating brain “delicacies” and his market is rich zombies. Two of his goons try to branch out but are shut down almost immediately. Sadly, it looks like the supply is coming from people no one would look for. But Major (Robert Buckley) is looking.

| TV Review: The Flash 1.18 “All Star Team Up” |

The Flash
Season 1 Episode 18: “All Star Team Up”
Directed by Kevin Tancharoen
Written by Grainne Godfree and Kai Yu Wu
Starring Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdez, Tom Cavanagh
The CW
Air Date: Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, 8:00pm The Flash! Oh how we’ve missed you the last two weeks! We did have awesome videos to console us like “Superhero Fight Club,” an inside look at this episode, and even got a little preview of “All Star Team Up”. Last week we got a mega geek treat with Mark Hammil as the Trickster. We all swooned when he told his protege, “I am your father.” On top of that, the Master-Padawan moment I referenced was Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) guiding Barry (Grant Gustin) on how to get to a speed to pass through solid objects, and all but said, “Feel the Force.” This led Barry to be sure that he was the Reverse Flash. Flashback to the night Barry’s mom was killed. Dr. Wells is… not Dr. Wells? We see the entire ugliness. Happy Dr. Wells was run off the road, his wife Tess died, Reverse Flash sucked the life out of him and assumed his identity, all because he got locked in the past after murdering Barry’s mom. The Flash 1.18 “All Star Team Up” review: The verdict? This episode is deserving of the mega-buildup it generated. Each millisecond was hypnotizing.

| MTV’s ‘Scream’ TV Series Gets A First Trailer
MTV released the first trailer for their TV series take on the Scream horror movie franchise we first learned about back in 2012 this week, and it is…kind of difficult to watch as a fan of the movies. But perhaps that’s just me. The trailer plays more like a horror movie parody—complete with plenty of screaming to fit the title and an awkwardly blatant reference to the original movies stuffed in there for good measure. You can check out the first trailer below, and do share your thoughts!

On the day I introduce my 11-year-old son to the original Arnold Schwarzenegger classic Predator, I find out about a Kickstarter campaign that financed the “best possible Predator short film, with the production of a Hollywood Blockbuster.” The fan-fiction film, Predator: Dark Ages, pits the title alien hunter against the”¦ Knights Templar? The short film is a prequel/sequel to John McTiernan’s original 1987 sci-action classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. There have been two feature-length sequels as well as two crossovers with the Alien franchise. Check out the videos here below which a recently release trailer, as well as videos with director James Bushe and director of photography Simon Rowling discussing their movie and Kickstarter campaign.

Wow, those Predators really get around. We know from the films that they treat our world like their own personal hunting lease. We’ve seen them fight virtually everything under the sun from Batman to Aliens to Tarzan, but nothing could have prepared us for Archie Vs. Predator #1! I saw this one in the lists and just knew I had to read it. And I bet you’re curious, too! The setting is Riverdale as our buddy Archie and his pals debate on what to do on their Spring Break. Thanks to a miraculous windfall of Jughead’s, the group gets a free trip to a beach resort. The odd ducks out here are Cheryl and Jason, who seem bent on making life difficult for the teens.
