Avengers: Age of Ultron Header Image

It’s hard to believe that we are even getting Avengers: Age of Ultron. Seven years ago, after watching Iron Man, some of us would have laughed at the thought of getting all these heroes to work together on a film. But it has happened, not once, but now twice, and there will be four films within a few years.

Geeks Of Doom was recently invited to the press conference for Avengers: Age of Ultron, where stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, and James Spader were in attendance to talk about being a part of such a massive ensemble, how the changing universe has effected their characters, and some of the stunt work that comes with a film of this size. Director Joss Whedon and producer Kevin Feige also talked about shaping the Marvel Cinematic Universe to what it is today, how some of the films in MCU’s Phase 2 changed the Age of Ultron script, and some of the challenges of shooting the sequel.

Here’s 11 things you should know about Avengers: Age of Ultron, which opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.

Arrow Flash Canary Arsenal

I may explode at how awesome this video is. The “Superhero Fight Club” features The CW TV series superheroes and starts with The Flash (Grant Gustin) and the Arrow (Stephen Amell) getting in an elevator and riding to the bottom (as an excited fan with a Palmer Technologies box tries to talk to them).

Arrow: “Look. You’re part of the club now so I thought you deserved a proper initiation.” Presses the skull and crossbones button. “Just remember. This club has only one rule… There are no rules!”

Watch the video below. You’re welcome.

The cast and roster of X-Men: Apocalypse continues to grow. Olivia Munn, who isn’t afraid of showing her inner geek, is the latest addition to the cast. Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that she is signed on to play Psylocke, a popular psychic ninja assassin mutant in the X-Men universe. She is just one of the many newcomers joining the franchise.

You Should Be Watching Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ Right Now… Here’s Why

Marvel Daredevil Netflix series second motion poster

Right now in the magical ether of the internet, on mystical servers of awesome just waiting for you to say the magic word, is a show that you should be watching instead of doing anything else. That show is Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix.

Available through Netflix streaming as of April 10th, the series centers on Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox. By day he’s a lawyer working out of Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. He’s just getting off the ground with his college buddy and best friend Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). They’re in business to make a difference in their city. To find justice and protect the innocent away from the scumbag lawyers they interned with during their matriculation. Oh yeah, Murdock is also blind. After a childhood accident that cost him his sight, Murdock has since developed his other senses to turn him into the “Devil of Hell’s Kitchen,” a masked vigilante with amazing martial arts skills and heightened awareness and physical capabilities. The “Devil” — who evolves into the titular Daredevil — also fights for justice and protection of the city just in a more punchy way.

The beauty of the Netflix format is that the episodes are released all at once, allowing you to watch an entire season at your own convenience, or if you’re really into it (like me), you can watch all 13 episodes in one weekend. After the binge, I have to say that Daredevil is amazing and in my opinion has changed the game for comic book-based television shows. If you turned off your Netflix account, it’s about time to fire it back up because here’s a few reasons why you should be watching Marvel’s Daredevil right now.

Wonder Woman header image

Just when it started to look like Warner Bros.’ DC Cinematic Universe was starting to come together, it loses one of its directors. Last week, we reported on rumors that The LEGO Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord may direct The Flash, while the studio was considering making an offer to James Wan (Furious 7) to direct Aquaman. Green Lantern and Shazam were some of the other films that would need to find directors as well. But one film we haven’t heard from was Wonder Woman.

Since last November, the only major development revealed was that Pan writer Jason Fuchs was writing the script. Now, it appears that the WB will have to search for a new director, as Michelle MacLaren is stepping down citing “creative difference” as her reason for leaving the high-profile project.
