Ah, video game movies. When Mortal Kombat is your high watermark, you know it’s bad. This week, after a break to celebrate SDCC, the gang at Screen Junkies were back at work giving us another Honest Trailer… The first, and somehow not worst (though they tried) video game movie of all time… Super Mario Bros.

Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) needs some help. Gotham certainly has villains aplenty. There’s Joker (Cameron Monaghan) and baby Scarecrow (Charlie Tahan from Wayward Pines), fledgling Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) and Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), full-on psycho Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and the Dollmaker (Colm Feore). And even with the loss of Don Maroni (David Zayas), Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), and The Ogre (Milo Ventimiglia), we now know that Theo Galavan, in the form of James Frain and his sister Tabitha (Jessica Lucas as future Tigress), are headed to Gotham. Who can a good-yet-starting-to make-questionable-choices detective turn to when his morally skewed, yet good-hearted partner (Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock) just isn’t enough?

While Game of Thrones might have the best overall visual effects on television right now, one could argue that AMC’s The Walking Dead has the best makeup seen on the small screen these days. But in addition to the tremendous makeup work done on the show, they also use a lot of visual effects to make their zombie magic happen.

A video has been uploaded by Stargate Studios showing a collection of some of these visual effect, not only from the most recent season of The Walking Dead but also from the reset of the seasons of the show as well.

YES! This is what I want from an episodic horror series! After a disappointing third episode, which felt like a bad episode of the OC, MTV’s Scream hit all the right buttons this week. The show encapsulated everything you’d expect from something called Scream. And in an odd twist, the acting wasn’t bad either!

Alrighty then. Let’s take a look at The Blacklist #1, shall we? I went into this comic knowing absolutely nothing about it, or the television series upon which it is based. That’s right, never saw a single episode. To be fair, I don’t watch a lot of television, but I am a James Spader fan. This particular story arc of the comic is called The Gambler, in case that means anything to longtime viewers of the program.
