During New York Comic-Con this past weekend, Netflix and Marvel’s hit series Daredevil was on hand. Not a whole lot was shown for the highly anticipated season two of the show, but what was shown had fans excited and now you too can see it for yourself.
The video shown begins with some highlights from the first season of Daredevil, before moving to season two. Only a few peeks of the new season were shared, but they include teases of both Punisher, who is being played by The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal, and Elektra, who is being played by Elodie Yung.
You can watch the Daredevil NYCC sizzle video below.
Speaking during their panel at the convention Bernthal shared his thoughts on playing the Punisher, Frank Castle:
“I know how important this character is to you guys and I know how important this show is to you guys. And I know how important he is to law enforcement, to the military, and I looked at this as a huge honor, a huge responsibility. I give you my absolute word I’m going to give everything that I have.”
Along with newcomers Bernthal and Yung, Daredevil also stars returning cast Charlie Cox in the title role, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. In charge of running the show is Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are.
“Marvel’s Daredevil” is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.
Daredevil season two is set to arrive sometime in 2016.
