Michael Malarkey The Vampire Diaries

Michael Malarkey is a busy man. Whether he is tirelessly writing and recording music (his independent EP, Knots, will be released November 20th), portraying the mysterious Enzo on the CW’s hit show, The Vampire Diaries (TVD), or on daddy duty with son, Marlon, Malarkey finds a way to balance it all. Moreover, he does it with a smile on his face.

Malarkey took some time to talk with Geeks of Doom in an exclusive interview this week, and he opened up about his personal projects while also giving us Vampire Diaries fans some clues into what we can expect for the rest of season seven.

Hulk and Thor in The Avengers

The Hulk will finally make an appearance outside of The Avengers films in Thor: Ragnarok. The film is said to see Hulk and Thor set out on a cosmic journey that does not take place on Earth or Asgard. It is rumored that the film could introduce the “Planet Hulk” storyline and the Valkyries, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Mark Ruffalo, who recently finalized his deal to appear in the last film of the Thor trilogy, expressed his interest in seeing the relationship between Bruce Banner and Hulk. Now while on his Spotlight press tour, the actor is talking a little bit more about Thor: Ragnarok. According to him, it will be a buddy film with fights in it. Sounds like the makings of another Marvel buddy cop film except now its with demi-gods and monsters. More on the story below.

Big Trouble in Little China Kurt Russell as Jack Burton

Early this summer it was announced that 20th Century Fox was intent on remaking John Carpenter‘s 1986 action-comedy-horror cult classic Big Trouble in Little China with Dwayne Johnson starring as heroic truck driver Jack Burton. Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class) are penning the script.

Kurt Russell, who played Burton in the original, was asked for his thoughts on the Big Trouble remake during an interview to promote the release of his new western Bone Tomahawk (which is pretty great by the way), and you can see what he had to say below.

Arrow
Season 4 Episode 4: “Beyond Redemption”

The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, October 28th, 2015, 8:00pm

Last week on Arrow, Thea and Laurel (Willa Holland and Katie Cassidy) go to Nanda Parbat to get Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), the new Ra’s al Ghul, to restore Sara (Caity Lotz) via the Lazarus Pit. Thea also wants to cure the beast inside her. At first Merlyn says no to the pit, and lies to Thea about helping her. Once he tricks her into killing to slake the bloodlust, she is so furious, he agrees to resurrect Sara. Because of all this, Nyssa (Katrina Law) destroys The Lazarus Pit. That was wise. Sara comes out of the Pit, a wild animal, bent on destroying Thea (her killer). That’s a tidy reason why she will need to leave to join Legends of Tomorrow. Diggle and Oliver (David Ramsey and Stephen Amell) squash their issues, Diggle finally admitting his secret 2-year investigation. Felicity was so pro team, I thought surely someone was going to be in critical condition by the end of the episode. Thank goodness, no one was. A killer-by-playing-card meta ran around town, and was the means by which newcomer Holt (Echo Kellum) finds out about her other job (but not about Oliver’s identity… yet).

Spoilers below.
