Star Wars Sky Movies Promo

Star Wars is coming to Sky Movies in the UK soon, and to promote its arrival, a brief but awesome promo video made by Abel Reverter has been released and can be watched below.

The video is basically moving artwork, something along the lines of a motion comic. It quickly covers all six of the movies that came before the upcoming The Force Awakens, beginning with the prequel trilogy and then making its way through the classic original trilogy, touching on important things that happened in each of the movies along the way.

Doctor Who 9.12 Hell Bent BBC America

Doctor Who
Season 9, Episode 12 “Hell Bent”
Directed by Rachel Talalay
Written by Steven Moffat
Starring Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Maisie Williams, Ken Bones, T’nia Miller, Clare Higgins
BBC America
Air date: December 5, 2015

This week, we find the Doctor back on Gallifrey, the home of Time Lords. It’s a place of many traps, both for the Doctor and for Doctor Who. There is the Doctor’s own, occasionally troubled relationship with his own people. There is the temptation to reveal too much about who the Doctor really is. There is frequently the desire to indulge in the worst kind of fan nostalgia by summoning up key words, faces, and objects from the past.

In this week’s episode, “Hell Bent,” I think the Doctor emerges relatively unscathed, but only after the showrunner Steven Moffat leads us through some abrupt and unconvincing turns that aim high but cater to the show’s worst storytelling tendencies.

Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero in The Room

It sounds like something you’d expect to see as a fake news story on April Fools’ Day, but it’s something that’s actually happening. James Franco is playing Tommy Wiseau in a movie about the making of The Room, a cult classic widely considered to be the worst movie ever made that was written, directed, produced, and starred Wiseau in the lead role.

Franco, who’s also directing, has shared an image from the set of the movie, titled The Disaster Artist, with him in full Wiseau costume and accompanied by his brother Dave Franco, who plays the actor who played Mark (oh hai), Greg Sestero. A bunch of actors have also recently joined the cast, including Josh Hutcherson and Kate Upton. You can see the image and read more about the cast and who they’re playing below.
