Vikings Season 4 returns on February 18th for a giant season – 20 episodes. The History Channel has just released a just under 2-minute trailer in anticipation of this highly acclaimed wonderful series. It looks to be another exciting (and bloody) season for Kattegat’s crew.
Check out the trailer below.
The trailer shows Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his boys on the boat, then the King of Frankia speaking of Ragnar’s return. He pleads with Rollo (Clive Standen) not to go back to Ragnar. Poor Rollo! This must be really hard on him as he’s always had that love/hate thing going on with his sibling.
King Ecbert (Linus Roache) looks loonier than ever. Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) seems to have grown in confidence and manliness, urging the men and women to raid.
“Nothing can stop us!”
I’m really looking forward to the inevitable Bjorn/Rollo and Lagertha/Rollo face-to-faces because they have always been really close to each other. I want to think that Rollo would never harm them, or allow someone else to do so.
There’s also a quick glimpse of his new bride holding a knife to his throat while he sleeps.
Vikings returns Thursday, February 18th on The History Channel.
HISTORY’s hit drama series “Vikings” returns for a gripping fourth season led by Travis Fimmel, star of the upcoming film Warcraft, on Thursday, February 18 at 10 p.m. ET. The network has added four episodes to its initial 16 episode order. Beginning February 18, a new episode will air every Thursday for ten weeks with the remaining episodes to air later in the year.
Season three culminated with the extraordinary battle in Paris, where Ragnar (Fimmel) seized victory from the jaws of defeat Рbut still returns to Kattegat dangerously ill. Thoughts of his death galvanize the forces who seek to succeed him as king, including his wife Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) and his oldest son, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig). Meanwhile, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) continues power struggles with her calculating, former second in command, Kalf (Ben Robson); Rollo (Clive Standen) betrays his Vikings heritage by remaining in Frankia and Floki (Gustaf Skarsg̴rd) is seized for his brutal actions to the Christian priest Athelstan.
“Vikings” is the critically acclaimed series from creator and sole writer Michael Hirst (Academy Award® winning film Elizabeth and the Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated series “The Tudors”) and is a family saga that tells the remarkable tales of the lives and epic adventures of the raiders and explorers of the Dark Ages.
