“You hit them, they get back up. I hit them and they stay down.”
Marvel Studios and Netflix have released the newest trailer for the upcoming season of their popular series Daredevil, and here we get our most extensive look at the Punisher to date.
Check out the Season 2 trailer here below.
The trailer focuses heavily on the character of Frank Castle, as played by Jon Bernthal (Shane on AMC’s The Walking Dead, The Wolf of Wall Street), and the tragic events in his past that led to his becoming the legendary vigilante feared in the underworld for his merciless tactics and that dreaded skull icon. Bernthal is one of the most intense actors working today; his portrayal of Castle looks to dig deeper into the character’s damaged psyche than actors who played him in the past had the opportunity to do.
“You know you’re one bad day away from being me.”
We’ll be getting another trailer on February 25 that will focus on the introduction of a character crucial to the Daredevil universe. Stay tuned until the end of this trailer for a little teaser of what we can expect.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Elodie Yung (joining the cast as Elektra), and Rosario Dawson. Scott Glenn will also reprise his role as Daredevil’s mentor Stick from the first season. Netflix will begin streaming the new season on March 18, 2016.
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
