Derrickson said Doctor Strange brought a fresh new story in the Marvel Universe, calling it a left turn.
Cumberbatch said this is not like anything he has ever done before, adding that his character will go on an arc that will explore all sorts of realities. McAdams explains the relationship history between her character and Strange, and that it will be fun to see his transformation.
Ejiofor said Mordo will become somewhat of a mentor that will go on a complex journey.
Swinton said she connects with the character and said anyone can be the Ancient One. She says it’s more of a title, and believes that she pulls the light out of people. She knows it means a lot to some people.
Mads Mikkelsen said all good villains have to believe in what they do. So he’s not a villain in a classic sense but a believer.
Wong wasn’t comfortable with being a man tea servant.
Derrickson introduced a clip where Strange first meets the Ancient One. The clip has not been released yet, but the new trailer below, which includes plenty of the Ancient One, makes up for that.
