A TV spot aired during the Super Bowl tonight for the upcoming Season 2 of the Netflix original series Stranger Things.
Watch that Season 2 teaser TV spot here below.
The TV spot features the features Eggo waffles as well as the child characters Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) dressed in Ghostbusters costumes riding their bikes and standing in front of their middle school in Indiana. We see red skies as the “world is turning upside down.”
Season 2 of the Netflix original series will be set in 1984, one year after the events of Season 1. Of the new season, show’s executive producer Shawn Levy (Arrival) revealed to EW that “The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t.”
The 8-episode Season 1 was launched worldwide on Netflix on July 15, 2016 and quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, prompting the network just one month later to approve a second season for 9 one-hour episodes. Season 2 will launch on Netflix this Halloween. We recently got a first look at the highly anticipated second season.
The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots meet for Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, at 6:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 5, 2017. The Big Game will be broadcast on FOX TV, with FOX Sports GO streaming it online.
