The Orchard recently released an official trailer for Creep 2, a follow-up to the 2014 indie horror favorite Creep.
The sequel follows a video artist, who enjoys creating intimacy with lonely men, answering an ad posted by a man claiming to be a serial killer. She hopes in doing this she’ll be able to create some fascinating and shocking material, but of course it may just end up being a little more than she anticipated.
Head on below to check out the trailer.
I went into the original Creep knowing very little about it, and it easily became one of my favorites of the past few years. And I’m not just saying that because Geeks of Doom got a shout out in the trailer (you can read our review right here if interested). It’s about as simple as movies come: basically just two guys, a camera, and a wolf mask. The ultimate low-budget movie. And yet it’s still so very entertaining, helped greatly by the brilliant work of Mark Duplass, who should have been showered with awards for his performance.
Because of these things I’ve watched it multiple times since first seeing it, and I’m crazy excited to dive into the sequel. You should absolutely seek out the first movie before watching the trailer below if you’ve not yet seen it. It’s not yet available on Blu-ray, which is a bit of a bummer (again, lowest of low budgets), but can be picked up on DVD or Rent/Buy from Amazon. But the best way to watch for most, will be to simply hop on Netflix and hit play.
My only advice: go in with zero expectations and as little knowledge as possible. Just let it do its thing, and then decide if it’s something you can dance to or not.
Creep 2 is set to arrive later this month on October 24th.
