A new video has been released for the upcoming superhero horror Brightburn, which comes from producer James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither).
The video is an extended red band scene from the movie we’ve seen teased in the trailers for the movie, which takes place in a diner. You can find a synopsis for Brightburn and check out the red band video below.
SYNOPSIS:
What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?
After a difficult struggle with fertility, Tori’s dreams of motherhood come true with the arrival of a mysterious baby boy. Brandon appears to be everything Tori and her husband Kyle ever wanted-bright, talented, curious about the world. But as Brandon nears puberty, a powerful darkness seems to manifest within him, and Tori becomes consumed by terrible doubts about her son. Once Brandon begins to act on his twisted urges, those closest to him find themselves in grave danger, as the miracle child transforms into a vicious predatos unleashed on an unsuspecting Kansas town.
With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and The Belko Experiment presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.
The movie stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones, and Meredith Hagner.
Directing is David Yarovesky (The Hive), from a screenplay written by Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island).
Brightburn will be released in theaters a couple of weeks from now on May 24th.
As always it must be warned that this video is of the red band variety for some disturbing imagery, so you may want to hold off if you happen to be at work or have some tiny humans running around.
