Dark Horse Comics released a time lapsed video on Monday through io9 that shows the artistic process of creating the cover for the third issue of the upcoming Star Wars: Blood Dies – Boba Fett Is Dead #3 by artist Chris Scalf.
Time-lapsed art videos are always really cool to me, especially with digital art as it’s something that greatly interests me. And this video from Chris Scalf is no exception. In the video we see the cover grow from a digital sketch to a fully realized comic book cover through the process of digitally inking and colors all of the minute details.

| Dark Horse Collects The Entirety Of Brian Wood’s ‘Channel Zero’ |
By Hunter Camp

Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at 1:30 pm |
Dark Horse Comics has announced that the publishing company will be collecting the entirety of Brian Wood‘s critically acclaimed Channel Zero comic book series.
Released originally in 1997, Channel Zero was a vision of a future that was not precisely what we hope and dream of. Wood’s first real voyage in the comic book industry told a story that was forward thinking for its time, while still being relevant today. Themes such as freedom of expression, surveillance, media infiltration and computer manipulation are prevalent through the pages of this politically charged graphic work. And readers that may enjoy Brian Wood’s work on other stories may not realize that the majority of Channel Zero was both written and drawn by Wood. For an entire look at the newly designed cover for the complete collected edition of Brian Wood’s Channel Zero, have a look here below.

Dark Horse Presents has been a great way for creators to showcase their creator-owned work, so it makes perfect sense that Dark Horse approached Francavilla to bring his pulp-noir hero of Colt City to the anthology comic series.

Each and every week “Henchman24″ MK2Fac3 and “Dr. McDavid” Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of December 14, 2011. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. The collective “HenchFac3” attempts to bring you the knowledge of the latest and greatest comic books that are being released each and every week. Now, unfortunately, the situation does not always play out in the manner in which we have anticipated. Sometimes, we pick absolute flops. Sometimes we pick books that don’t even ship that week. And sometimes, we pick the same comic every month. We’re not theoretical physicists, and as much as MK2Fac3 wants you to believe that he’s Batman, he’s totally not. He cannot prepare for any and all eventualities. But more often than not, we pick some really good books. And while our track record does not garner us a perfect score, I think that if you pick up this week’s books, you’ll be more than impressed with our choices. For we are “The HenchFac3,” and this, well this is The GoD List.
