Everyone seems to be in the Christmas spirit. Even the minifigures of the collapsed world of The LEGO Movie. Well, at least Emmet (Chris Pratt), who is trying to bring holiday joy while everyone around him is just trying to survive the apocalypse. Now Warner Bros. is showing how he and the rest of the gang will be celebrating with an all-new holiday short to help us get ready for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Check it out below.

| Guillermo del Toro Talks About His Not So Family Friendly Take On ‘Pinocchio’
In October it was announced that Academy Award winner Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) was finally going to make his take on Pinocchio at Netflix. But if you were expecting something similar to Disney’s 1940 animated classic, then you haven’t been paying close enough attention to del Toro’s work. His fairy tales tend to exist in much darker worlds. And that will be no different here, as del Toro says his version is not suitable for the whole family. For a lighter take, you’ll have to look to the live-action remake Disney is currently developing. Del Toro talked about the project recently, including whether it’s a political film, comparisons to Frankenstein’s monster, and his decade-long quest to get the film made. It’s the end of the year, which means it is time to recognize the best that films had to offer in 2018. We can expect to see the usual guilds and groups release their nominations, and that is no different for the Annie Awards, which recognize excellence in animation. No matter the medium or technique. As expected, films like Incredibles 2 and Ralph Breaks The Internet both earned 11 nominations, while Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse took seven nominations. Which is pretty disappointing considering how the film is pretty much a game-changer in terms of animation and animated storytelling. Other major contenders include Early Man and Isle of Dogs. On the TV side of things, Bob’s Burgers and BoJack Horseman earned nominations as well. Big Mouth also earned a nomination for Netflix. Although, it’s sad to see nothing went to Voltron. Check out the full list below.
