| Disney Announces Release Dates For Live-Action Films Through 2019 |

It’s no secret that Walt Disney Studios‘ live-action adaptations of animated classics are a hit. Following the successes of films like Alice In Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella, and The Jungle Book, Disney has gone on to lock in more release dates for their live-action fairy tale reimaginings. We already know that Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters on May 27th, Pete’s Dragon will open on August 12th, and Beauty and the Beast is scheduled for a March 17, 2017, release. However, none of the dates that Disney has set has titles attached to them. This is simpoly locking in key dates. More on the story below.

| Alfonso Cuarón To Consult On Andy Serkis’ ‘Jungle Book: Origins’ |

It wasn’t more than few years ago when Alfonso Cuarón brought us a dazzling look at space with the Academy Award-winning Gravity. Now the filmmaker will be taking his talents to the jungle to help out Andy Serkis. New reports are coming in saying that Cuarón has been brought in to consult with Serkis on Jungle Book: Origins. Just a couple of weeks back, Warner Bros. pushed the film’s release back a full year in an effort to perfect the visual effects. But with a big name filmmaker already on board, it still remains to be seen how much of Cuarón’s involvement will have an impact on the film. More on the story below.

| First Trailer For ‘The Magnificent Seven’ Remake Released
It’s been quite a while since we first heard rumors about actors like Tom Cruise and Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Costner starring in a remake of the 1960 western classic The Magnificent Seven for MGM. None of those rumors played out, but the remake still moved forward, and, as promised when we saw the first official images yesterday, a trailer for the movie has been released today. Though it is technically a teaser trailer, our first look at the movie still runs over two minutes in length and shows plenty of footage. Click on over to the other side to check it out.

| Geek Peek: First Images Of ‘The Magnificent Seven’ Starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt Released |

Last week, CinemaCon attendees were treated to the first look at the Antoine Fuqua-directed remake of The Magnificent Seven. The original film was released back in 1960, and starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Eli Wallach, and James Coburn. Such legendary actors gathering together for a great film, its reimagining would at least have to match that all-star caliber. And as such, it was announced that Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Byung-hun Lee would be starring in the film. With names like that, it looks like they got the job done on paper at least. Now Sony has released the first official set of images of the cast in their western getups, and plans on releasing the first trailer tomorrow. Check out the images below.
