As Ridley Scott completes his work on the upcoming The Martian, reports are suggesting that Prometheus 2 could be his next project. The sequel would be the follow-up to his Alien prequel which saw Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender flying towards the Engineer’s homeworld in an attempt to find out why they want to destroy humanity. Earlier this month, it was being reported that Scott would actual begin filming the movie next January, although it wasn’t clear how this might affect production for Neill Blomkamp‘s Alien 5. Now we are learning that Prometheus 2 could have a huge affect on the production of the next Alien movie. More on this story below.

| Rumor: Steven Spielberg Trying To Convince Gene Wilder To Come Out Of Retirement |

With Steven Spielberg is confirmed to direct two major films: Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One and Roald Dahl’s The BFG. Fans of both novels have already put together their dream cast. The BFG is slated for a July 2016 release, with Ready Player One set for a December 2017 release. While the former has already got its cast, the latter will eventually get to its casting phase. But a new rumor going around says that Spielberg may want Gene Wilder to come out of retirement to star in one of the two films. More on this story below.

Many of the characters of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice have been revealed in the past few weeks. The recent trailer confirmed that Holly Hunter‘s character was a politician who heads a Senate Subcommittee holding Superman responsible for his actions in Man of Steel. However, Scoot McNairy‘s involvement is still unknown. The actor was cast for a mysterious role back in 2014, and a leaked photo revealed that he was wearing a pair of green socks, indicating that there would be some sort of CGI involved. Some believed that he would be playing The Flash, a belief that was quickly dispelled when Ezra Miller was confirmed for the role. But now a new rumor has emerged that says he may be wearing those green socks for another reason. More on the rumor below.

| Rumor: John C. Reilly Signed On For ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’ |

Wreck-It Ralph was released way back in 2012, and was a commercial success and also earned itself an Academy Award nomination, losing out to its sister studio Pixar. Though not as popular as Frozen, the video game-centric film has grown a fanbase who have been asking for Wreck-It Ralph 2 to happen. Composer Henry Jackman said that a story was in the works. But for the most part, development, if any, has been slow going. Lead voice star John C. Reilly was recently interviewed, and revealed that he was signed on for a sequel. More on the story below.

| DC Rumors: Batman Solo Movie; Chris Pine As One Of Two Green Lanterns |

The usually reliable Latino Review is reporting on some interesting new rumors surrounding Warner Brothers’ long-term plans for the expanded cinematic universe it is creating based on DC Comics’ stable of iconic superheroes. The first is that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck will possibly both direct and star in The Batman, a reboot of the Dark Knight franchise. His Oscar-winning Argo scribe Chris Terrio (who also worked on the scripts for Dawn of Justice and the studio’s Justice League feature — the latter of which will be released in two parts with the first tentatively scheduled for a late 2017 release and the second for the summer of 2019) will write the script for a possible November 2018 theatrical release. This would put the most popular DC character in direct conflict with Marvel Studios’ eagerly awaited Captain Marvel, which will be their first female-headed blockbuster event.
