The latest rumors say that tentatively titled X-Men: Supernova is scheduled to begin production this year. While those reports have yet to be confirmed, the film itself is without a director. Considering that Deadpool was a hit and critics agree that Logan is one of the best X-Men films ever, Fox wants to continue releasing more X-Men films. Now a new rumor has popped up saying long-time X-Men producer Simon Kinberg is being eyed to direct the film. More on the story below.

Before we get into this, let’s just start by saying that this is just a rumor. There is no confirmation yet. But there is a rumor, and I emphasize the word rumor, that Ben Affleck doesn’t want to be Batman anymore. The actor has played the Dark Knight twice already, with his third being in the upcoming Justice League. He was poised to direct the hero’s standalone feature The Batman with a script he had written with Geoff Johns. However, he suddenly dropped out, forcing Warner Bros. to enter talks with Matt Reeves to take his place. More on the story below.

There’s no arguing that Deadpool was the breath of life that the X-Men film franchise so desperately needed. The self-depreciating humor and the constant jabs at the inconsistencies within the universe made us all laugh. So a cameo appearance from the Merc with the Mouth in a future X-Men film is practically inevitable. Of course, if there had to be a film that Deadpool would like to appear in, it would obviously have to be Logan. And according to a new report, it looks like he may be getting his wish. A new report says that Ryan Reynolds will be making an appearance as Deadpool in the next Wolverine movie. But the actor and director James Mangold may have something else to say. | ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ May Introduce New Stormtroopers |

Star Wars: The Force Awakens made some key changes to the dark faction we once knew as The Empire. Now known as the First Order, the group also added a few changes to the stormtroopers’ armor and weaponry and even gave a few high ranking ones a shiny chrome look. Now it looks like we will be seeing more variations of the stormtrooper in the yet-to-be-titled Star Wars: Episode VIII.
