Will Our Favorite Starbuck Katee Sackhoff Become Typhoid Mary In ‘Daredevil’ Reboot Or ‘Deadpool’ Spin-off?

Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles is becoming a comic book movie-lovers best friend. The shop has their own blog, and when Hollywood’s talent comes in an purchases an insta-collection of one particular comic, they let the world know. Obviously when a star just shows up and buys a pile, there’s something going on — most likely they’re going to audition, or maybe they’ve even already landed the role. In any case, the latest rumor is quite interesting. The comic store shared that a one Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica‘s Starbuck) came into the shop and bought all of the Typhoid Mary comic books that should could carry with “hopes of getting a Marvel role.” This has lead all to assume two things: The planned reboot of Daredevil, or the Deadpool spin-off movie. This is all purely speculation of course, but from what I hear of Typhoid Mary, she’s completely insane. Hearing this, I can’t imagine you could find many ladies who could swing that quite like Miss Sackhoff.

‘Boondock Saints 2’ To Have ‘Enter the Dragon’ Showdown; In Theaters By Fall?

J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek actor Clifton Collins Jr. spoke to MTV recently about his work on the cult super-sequel to The Boondock Saints, Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day. Collins Jr. mentions how he was able to see a rough cut at director Troy Duffy‘s house on Saint Patrick’s Day (what I would have given to be at that party), and went on to talk about his favorite parts, when we might see the movie, and how Duffy took it to another level. While no official word has been dropped yet, Collins Jr. admitted that he had once heard that All Saints Day would be fittingly released on the November 1st holiday of the same name, but because the film was considered so “hot” right now, it may be let loose even earlier than that, and he’s even sure it will be released theatrically. We can only hope this is true. That would mean a trailer very soon, and the movie within four to five months. Considering how long we’ve been waiting for this movie, it seems so very unlikely that it would be that easy, but if it’s really damn good, why the hell not! Click over for some quotes. Collins does talk about a scene, so minor spoiler warning. I don’t see any reason to avoid it, though.

Rumor-Busting: Eliza Dushku & Alyssa Milano Not In ‘Ghostbusters 3’

The LA Times was able to speak to Dan Aykroyd recently and many good bits of information in regards to Ghostbusters 3 came of it. One of these bits was that not one, but maybe even two females might be joining the team of new Ghostbuster recruits, and Aykroyd pegged Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano as two he would love to see take up the parts. Aykroyd simply states “I think they’re amazing, and I’m excited about the whole idea of getting this done,” so by no means did he say that they were in it, just that they were great choices — especially with Milano having voiced a part in the upcoming video game. Well, apparently this made its way around the web pretty quickly, and had many thinking that the two lovely ladies were going to be in the movie, and unfortunately, that’s not the case…yet. Via their Twitter accounts, both Dushku and Milano denied the reports. This is definitely not to say something won’t come around in the future, but for now, they’re both unaware of anything happening.

Martin Scorsese To Direct Frank Sinatra Movie; Johnny Depp Or Leonardo DiCaprio As Ol’ Blue Eyes?

This is one of those news stories that can give you goosebumps. One of the greatest directors ever to live, to direct a movie about one of the greatest entertainers to ever walk the earth. Take that one in. Nikki Finke has reported that Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to make the movie based on the life of Frank Sinatra with Martin Scorsese attached to direct. Universal obtained the rights from Mandalay Pictures with Phil Alden Robinson (writer/director of Field of Dreams, Sneakers) penning the script. The project was announced after the family of the icon known as Ol’ Blue Eyes — who passed away on this date eleven years ago — gave them permission. Within that permission, Frank’s daughter Tina Sinatra will also act as an executive producer. A day after the news, with everyone wondering who could possibly fill the god-like shoes of Sinatra, Nikki Finke is hearing that the studio very much wants Johnny Depp to take on the role. Word is, Scorsese has always had his go-to-guy Leonardo DiCaprio in mind for the part, but because of Depp’s performance in Public Enemies, Universal is all about hanging on to him tightly.

| Three More Directors Thrown Into The ‘Conan’ Mix
Once upon a time (three days ago) word came out that the top pick to direct the new Conan remake is James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin). This news came after the joyous announcement that Brett Ratner would not be helming the project anymore (Read: Brett Ratner Off ‘Conan’ Movie; James McTeigue In?) Well, apparently a bit of a disagreement has arisen from the studios involved and he’s not the only director wanted. CHUD — who first got word of McTeigue — has now received information that while Nu Image/Millennium Films does want McTeigue, partner Lionsgate Entertainment has three other directors in mind that they would rather hire: Christopher Gans, Marcus Nispel, and Neil Marshall. All four are fitting choices in their own right, and all might just make a decent Conan flick, but who makes the best one?
