Based on everything we have covered about Disney+, the studio’s exclusive streaming service will be home to over 6,000 hours worth of content from TV and films, both past and present. Of course, that library can only grow when streaming rights expire on other services. Not only that, but future content will be available on Disney+ as well.

Shudder’s new take on George A. Romero and Stephen King’s comic-inspired anthology, Creepshow, revs into its third episode tonight. Executive produced by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and featuring writing and directing from some of the most impressive names in horror, Creepshow is one of the many reasons a horror enthusiast should not be living without Shudder, especially this time of the year. Introduced by The Creeper and featuring the always cool looking Creepshow comic artwork, the stories in Episode 1.3 deliver a twisted tale of trick or treating along with a moral fable of the power of greed.

Back in September when we were watching trailers for Haunt and The Furies and gearing up for Shudder’s stellar October lineup, we mentioned that they were also teasing a special treat that many were hoping would end up being a Halloween special for The Last Drive-In thanks to a tweet from Joe Bob Briggs himself.

We’ve had a 24-hour marathon with Joe Bob. Thanksgiving and Christmas specials. And those even led to a weekly series which has a season two coming next year. But one thing this celebration of horror has not yet had is its very own Halloween special. This week, hopes became a reality as Shudder confirmed Joe Bob’s Halloween Hootenanny is coming this month. A new adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol is on the way. This one will be a musical, with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell set to star.

Now this latest take on A Christmas Carol has a home. After a bidding war which included Netflix, Warner Bros., and Paramount all making offers to acquire the movie, it was Apple who ultimately won the project and is now in final negotiations to complete the acquisition. And it sounds like they dropped some big money on the table to pass all other bidders.

Netflix has released an official trailer for Klaus, an upcoming animated holiday season movie.

The movie stars J.K. Simmons, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones, Joan Cusack, Will Sasso, and Norm Macdonald, and tells the origin story of Santa Claus. You can find more info on it and give the trailer a watch below.
