Last week on Outlander, Lord John Grey (David Berry) arrived at Ardsmuir prison, where Jamie (Sam Heughan) was held, the leader of the prisoners. He attempted to connect, rebuffed at first, but Jamie agreed to occasional meetings to better the conditions for the men, especially Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix). Lord Grey set Jamie free (of sorts) to work for a family under an assumed name. Claire and Frank (Caitriona Balfe, Tobias Menzies) no longer pretended to have a marriage, but when Frank’s mistress accidentally showed up too early during Claire’s graduation party, they fought. Once Brianna (Sophie Skelton) graduated high school, Frank asked Claire for a divorce and said he thought Brianna would go with him. Frank died in a car accident and Claire said goodbye. Spoilers below.

Reboots are just a thing we are accustomed to seeing in headlines nowadays. But some reboots catch our interest, especially when it falls into the right hands. Such as Blumhouse’s new take on Halloween. The film will bring back Jamie Lee Curtis who made a name for herself as the ultimate scream queen in John Carpenter‘s original 1978 classic slasher film. When announcing her return, Curtis said “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween.” So while it is something of a reboot of the franchise, the movie is also a sequel and canon. And to make sure it is canon, the film will be adding one interesting connection. New reports confirm that Judy Greer will be joining the cast as Karen Strode, Laurie Strode’s daughter. More on the story below.
