‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp’ Trailer: “Introducing Jon Hamm”

Netflix has just released the latest trailer for their new upcoming limited series comedy Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp. The eight episode series run takes place before the events of the 2001 cult film.
Director and co-writer David Wain made a point of having the actors play younger versions of themselves in the series despite most of them being fortysomething year-olds. Four years ago at D23 Expo 2011, Pixar announced what would be its 15th feature film: Inside Out. Two years later came news of the cast and the respective characters. Let’s examine Inside Out, in terms of what it is composed of and what this movie can mean for the future of the studio.

VHS Trailer For ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ On Netflix

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Wet Hot American Summer limited prequel series coming to Netflix later this summer, titled Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. A teaser trailer was released back in January confirming the series’ gigantic cast.
The trailer is an advertisement for Camp Firewood, the fictional camp at which the movie and this series takes place. The movie, which is written by, directed by, and stars members of the MTV comedy group The State, takes place in 1981 and tells the story of the last day at camp, while this new series is a prequel taking place on the first day of that same summer camp season.
Because of the year the show is set in, this trailer ad for the camp is presented in the nostalgia-inducing style of an old VHS video tape. There’s something very strange about watching a VHS-style video in 1080p. You can check it out below.
