Air Date: October 30, 2016 Warning – SPOILERS for AMC’s The Walking Dead… Last week’s Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead was probably one of the most difficult episodes to watch and to process. Not only did it see the death of two major characters, but it saw the breaking of the group’s leader Rick by Negan, the new villain (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). It’s clear now that Negan and his “Saviors” are the real deal, and they are not easily beaten or outsmarted by Rick and his crew. This week’s episode, 7.2 “The Well,” does not return to Rick and company. Instead, we finally find out what happened to Carol and Morgan.

Air Date: October 23, 2016 Warning – SPOILERS for AMC’s The Walking Dead… It was nearly 7 months ago when we got the Season 6 finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and it was an excruciatingly long wait, considering that we were left with a cliffhanger of terrifying proportions. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was introduced as the villainous Negan, a leather jacket-clad, well-spoken madman who wields a barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat named Lucille that he uses to bash people’s heads in. Rick and his crew had run afoul with Negan’s soldiers after they raided what they thought was his main compound in a preemptive attack. Turns out, that was just an outpost. Meanwhile, Morgan was off looking for Carol, who left the Alexandria Safe Zone because she couldn’t bare to kill anymore, even though she was obviously very good at it. He eventually found her hiding and injured, but she refused to return with him. Instead, she ran off again only to be found by one of the Saviors from the group she slaughtered (in her defense, they attacked her first), who then shoots her. Thankfully, it was Morgan to the rescue again. Right after Morgan kills the attacking Savior, two other men wearing homemade armor arrive, one of whom is on horseback. Morgan tells them that Carol is injured and needs help, and one of the men say, “Then let’s get you some help” and shakes Morgan’s hand — a symbol of hope in this desperate world.

He’s pointing it at his intended victims — Rick and his group, who are the subject of the new poster. Air date: Sunday, April 3, 2016, 9pm Warning – SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Season 6… The Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead aired tonight, and as we expected, Negan finally made his first on-screen appearance, and yes, it was terrifying and there were grave consequences. We left off last week with what looked to be Daryl getting shot by Dwight, one of Negan’s men he had encountered and saved earlier in the season. Dwight turned out to be a backstabber, and Daryl spent the rest of the season lamenting that he let the man live, especially after Dwight used Daryl’s own crossbow to kill Denise. This was supposed to be the shocking cliffhanger, because we didn’t know if this meant that Daryl was dead. At the start of the season 6 finale, “Last Day On Earth,” we of course do not get any resolution as to what happened to Daryl, or the fate of Glenn, Michonne, and Rosita, who were also taken captive by Dwight and his fellow Saviors. Instead, we get Morgan finding Carol, as well as Rick and several others from the Alexandria Safe Zone trying to get Maggie to the doctor at the Hilltop.
