Last week on The Flash, the new meta (nicknamed Turtle) just might be what they need to capture Zoom. He’s heisting all over, seeming to move fast, but only because he’s slowing everything else down – including Barry (Grant Gustin). Meanwhile, Barry seems like lame duck because he disappears in the middle of Patty (Shantel VanSanten) being in danger, only to save her as The Flash. She doesn’t understand what is going on with him. He is on the verge of telling all (thanks to Iris), but she tells him she’s going away to school. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) tells Jay (Teddy Sears) she knows he is dying. Joe (Jesse L Martin) finds out about Wally’s (Keiynan Lonsdale) drag racing, and is the best dad ever in my eyes (anyway and always). Eobard Thawne (Matthew Letscher) is back!

Warning! Do not proceed if you are not all caught up!
Last month the fall finale of The Flash saw The Trixter (Mark Hamill) up to his usual hijinks, but this time he recruited The Weather Wizard and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Cold warns Barry (Grant Gustin) and splits. Now while Trixter business was enough for an episode, it was really the 2 side things that floored us. One – the appearance of Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) at the door. Two – Harry (Tom Cavanagh) finally (albeit reluctantly) throwing in with Zoom (Tony Todd) for the sake and safety of his daughter.

‘The Flash’: Check Out The “Pretty Messed Up” Trailer!
There’s still a couple of weeks before the return of The Flash on January 19th, and this little gem almost slipped by me during the holidays. After a crazy crossover with Arrow, and then a Trixter-y, Weather-y episode that ended with a really nice Christmas for the Wests, because of the return of long lost son, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale – Insurgent), everyone needed a slight breather from the Zoom problem. Looks like that breather is over.
Check out the trailer below.

Last week’s episode of The Flash was spectacular. Everybody was in this crossover episode. The Flash crew turned to the Arrow crew for help in saving Hawkman and Hawkgirl (Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renee) from an immortal madman, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). This episode was the first half of the Legends of Tomorrow setup. Patty (Shantel VanSanten) shot Wells (Tom Cavanagh), and Jay had to take a speed drug to remove the bullet from his heart with his hands. It was one of the funniest episodes of The Flash to date. And that’s saying something.

Two weeks ago on The Flash, Grodd was back, using his mind to bend people to his will. His goal? To make more Grodds. He mind controls Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) but doesn’t want to hurt her. he remembers how kind she was. They get Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) to pretend to be dead Wells, with Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) help, whom Grodd saw as a father. Earth-2 Wells did have a real answer. There is a Grodd habitat on Earth-2, and they send him there. The other theme is father-son relationships. Barry (Grant Gustin) is having a lot of doubt in himself, so Iris (Candice Patton) calls in his real dad (John Wesley Shipp) for the sage Rocky speech that the first Wells used to do when Barry was doing Flash-y stuff.
Beware! Spoilers for “Legends of Today” below.
