Hellbreak

I recently had the chance to ask Cullen Bunn and Brian Churilla a few questions about Hellbreak and some of their other projects. I’ve long been a fan of Cullen, but I’m only recently discovering Brian, thanks in no small part to The Sixth Gun mini-series Sons Of The Gun they did together and the Big Trouble In Little China series. Getting the skinny on their newest collaboration was awesome, to say the least.

If you haven’t checked this amazing new comic out, I urge you to do so. The premise is awesome and it looks like it’s going to be a great run! If you missed my review of the first one, you can find it here.

So, without any more delays, here’s what went down with Cullen!

Cover by Brian Churilla
Oni Press
Release Date: March 11, 2015
Cover Price: $1.00

“My boss went to Hell and all I got was a skinny half-naked dude.” That line pretty much sums up this comic. Combining a good deal of action and quite a few horrible creatures, Hellbreak #1 is a fast-paced read filled with twisted humor and dangerous travels. In short, it was a barrel of fun!

You probably recognize the names involved here. Cullen Bunn is famous for his kickass comic book The Sixth Gun, also available on Oni Press. He is also known for a little series he wrote that you may have heard of entitled Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe. He also writes books. You know, books. Those things that are sort of like comics, but don’t have any pictures. He’s a busy man with big plans, so keep your eyes open for him.
