Starz has released a trailer for season three of Da Vinci’s Demons, which will be, as it turns out, the show’s final season. The show comes from David S. Goyer and follows a young Leonardo da Vinci himself in a fictional alternate history as he seeks answers about his own life and existence while often getting caught up in political maneuverings and conflicts and constantly getting himself into trouble on his path. Starz
Air date: Friday, April 12, 2013 Outside of episodes of Party Down, I’ve not not watched a lot of Starz shows. However, I do feel that the network is working towards building a larger theme with each of its respective programs. It’ll be interested to see how Da Vinci’s Demons, the network’s newest series, falls into that overall identity. Da Vinci’s Demons reminds me a lot of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys or Xena: Warrior Princess. Depending on how excited or apathetic you just got after reading that statement will serve as a good indicator of your interest in the show, which is an eight-part series. Created, written, and directed by Dark Knight trilogy co-writer David S. Goyer, Da Vinci’s Demons sees the infamous artist rebranded as a young action hero.

| Doom Deliveries: ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ Unlock The Genius KitA package recently arrived which contained within a wooden box with a message on top to UNLOCK THE GENIUS with the date 4-12-13. What could this be? Why, it must be a Doom Delivery! Upon opening the box, I found a note inside from the good people at STARZ regarding their new show, Da Vinci’s Demons, which airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT. The eight-part original series is an historical fantasy which tells the untold tale of a young Leonardo da Vinci and reveals his “demons.” It turns out that the contents of the box are actually meant to help me tap into my inner genius! Woo! The kit contained a journal – so I can put my own ingenious thoughts to paper – and a Da Vinci’s Demons t-shirt that reads “ARROGANT, VISIONARY, BASTARD” on the front, with the back displaying the show’s logo. You can check out a photo of the box and its contents here below, as well as watch a few teaser videos for the series.

| ‘Man of Steel’ Co-Writer David S. Goyer Conjures ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’David S. Goyer, the prolific screenwriter behind some of the most successful comic book-based movies made in the past fifteen years (including Batman Begins, the Blade movies, and the upcoming Superman film, Man of Steel), is hoping his big-screen success finally translates to the small screen. After nurturing such short-lived television series as Flash Forward, Threshold, Blade (based on the three-film franchise he wrote, the third and final one he also directed), and FreakyLinks, Goyer is returning to the cathode realm with his latest creation, a new series entitled Da Vinci’s Demons. The show will be the first to be produced under a new multi-year agreement Starz Entertainment signed with BBC Worldwide Productions over the summer.
