This week, at Apple‘s WorldWide Developer Conference, Apple rolls out new updates for Macbooks, OSX, iOS 7, and a new Mac Pro! Also at E3, we find out more about the XBox One, the PS4, and all the great games you’ll be playing on them. Plus Google buys Waze, and cloud storage with real clouds!

This week, Andy, Devindra, Chris, and Techmeme’s Lidija Davis break down this coming year’s latest videogame announcements from the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Later, we discuss last week’s All Things D conference, which was “haunted by the man who isn’t here.”

But first, this week’s headlines… LinkedIn suffers a massive security breach as 6.4 million passwords get leaked, Google sneaks the first video from Project Glass, Facebook Camera launches, Facebook plans to allow under 13-year-olds into their service, Apple to bring Siri to the iPad, and Airtime launches.

It has begun! The 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo is underway with Day 1 action and already many exciting and possibly questionable announcements and presentations have been revealed. And once again, the best part about E3 is that G4 is able to broadcast all of the big press conferences and demonstrations right on our TVs, so we’ll be sharing a large chunk of news and glorious new video game videos and trailers with you.

To start things off, Microsoft hit the floor for their presentation and to show off their future plans and products. The big thing people expected to hear about from Microsoft was of course where their much-discussed Project Natal — which wowed a lot of people last year — actually stood now that we know that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are both about to unleash their own motion-based systems to compete with the Nintendo Wii.

Most of us know Scott Pilgrim from Bryan Lee O’Malley’s fantastic graphic novels. Others know it from the great looking movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World that is about to be released starring Michael Cera.

With E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) starting next week, game publisher Ubisoft wants you to know Scott Pilgrim in another way, as a really cool video game. Game footage was released prior to E3 — which you can watch here below — and it’s just what you would expect. In the Scott Pilgrim books there are a lot of references to old school video games, which is one of the reasons I love the series. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Video Game looks to be taken from the era that the author is referencing.

The game is a side scrolling, multiplayer, button masher. Reminiscent of old games like Final Fight and Double Dragon. I loved those games growing up and I think I’m going to like this game as well.
