Supernatural
Season 10 Episode 21: “Dark Dynasty”
Created by Eric Kripke
Directed by Robert Singer
Written by Eugenie Ross-Leming, Brad Buckner
Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard
The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, May 6th, 2015, 9:00pm Last week’s Supernatural was one of my favorites of the season. “Angel Heart” brought us back to Claire Novak (Kathryn Love Newton), daughter of Jimmy Novak, Castiel’s (Misha Collins) vessel. She was looking for her mother, gone for years, searching for a Jimmy that lived in heaven by choice. Her mother was being captive by an ancient order of fallen angels… well angel, who sucked souls out of people slowly. It left them with heavenly dreams. What was great about that episode was the dynamic between this belligerent teenage girl, who really craved love, and each of the men. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Claire were really funny, having fun and trading insults. He taught her some hunter stuff, as did Sam (Jared Padalecki). And as much as Castiel said he merely felt responsible for her, I think he really cares for her as a father figure.

Supernatural
Season 10 Episode 20: “Angel Heart”

Directed by Steve Boyum

Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard
The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, 9:00pm On Supernatural last week, it was back to the big search on how to break the curse of The Mark of Cain on Dean (Jensen Ackles). Sam (Jared Padalecki) teamed up with Rowena (Ruth Connell), who told him she could not read The Book of the Damned without the decoder, The Men of Letters Werther Box. Unfortunately, it was protected by a suicide spell – a green gas that caused the affected to see crazy things, play on their guilt and fears, and cause them to commit suicide. It was a dark and creepy episode, reminiscent of the some of the earlier super scary Supernaturals. I will say, it was really good to see Benny (Ty Olsson) again in fake Purgatory.

Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, Ruth Connell
The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015, 9:00pm The Road So Far: Last week on Supernatural, we got another Charlie (Felicia Day) episode as she found the Book of The Damned, and got shot for it. Sam (Jared Padalecki) thinks it’s the only way they are going to cure Dean (Jensen Ackles), but Dean doesn’t think it is worth it. Sam pretends to burn the book. The episode ends with Sam about to do a deal with Rowena (Ruth Connell). In the meantime, Castiel (Misha Collins), and Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) go on a road trip for Castiel’s grace, after the boys find out he lied about being able to help Dean with The Mark of Cain. Castiel makes him human, and away they go! This was a really fun part of the episode. Metatron stuffed his face with the glory of food, and played with the car radio. He of course double-crossed Castiel, but he got his grace back anyway. He healed charlie who was giddy to meet him.

Air Date: Wednesday, April 15th, 2015, 9:00pm The brothers are back! But before we get to the review for Supernatural episode 10.18 “Book Of The Damned,” let’s hop into the Impala and drive back to 2 weeks ago for a recap of episode 10.17 “Inside Man.” IGIT! Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) is on the case! With the Mark of Cain still in charge of of Dean’s fate, Castiel (Misha Collins) and Sam need Metatron (Curtis Armstrong), but he resides in heavenly Rikers. Through a medium, they contact Bobby who lives in his own heaven (looks pretty lonely to me). Bobby has a purpose now, and jumps right in. The part where Bobby releases all the “Robert Singers” (and one Roberta!) in heaven to throw the angel police off his tail, is perfect. Bobby is definitely in big trouble though.
