| Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It: Make Betty White An SNL Host!
Another movement has begun, and it is a matter of life and death, people. The fans have decided that Betty White, star of The Golden Girls and universally awesome grandmother to us all, needs to be allowed to host Saturday Night Live. The movement started on Facebook, where almost 200,000 fans have joined the Betty White to Host SNL page in an attempt to grab the attention of executives at NBC,and persuade them to bring her in immediately. SNL still has a faithful fan-base, but has not been getting laughs like they used to. It could be the writers; it could be the current cast, but for some reason, that strong level of funny has been completely M.I.A. The studio hasn’t had the most support lately, either; after the Conan O’Brien/Tonight Show fiasco, this would also be a chance for them to win some fans back. Does this really require any amount of thought, NBC!?

Family Guy Presents: Something Something Something Dark Side
DVD | Blu-ray
Directed by Dominic Polcino
Starring Seth MacFarlane, Seth Green, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Patrick Warburton, Mike Green
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
Release Date: December 22, 2009
Family Guy is at it again with their second visit to the Star Wars universe in Something Something Something Dark Side. After they successfully spoofed Star Wars: A New Hope in humorous but faithful fashion with Blue Harvest, we could hardly wait for more to come around. Now that we have this cartoon version of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back available to us, the trilogy spoof is almost complete! The best thing about these movies is that everyone can enjoy them. Not everyone is a Star Wars fanatic, so this is a hilarious way for them to see the world and the characters, even if it’s absurdly different from the way that George Lucas created them to be. For those of you non-Star Wars fans, this second film in the series takes place a few years after the Rebel Alliance blew the hell out of the Emperor and Darth Vader’s precious Death Star. Now the Empire is hot on their tail with plans for revenge. After Luke Skywalker comes into his own as a Jedi with intense training by Jedi Master Yoda, he hurries to a showdown with Vader after the evil Sith springs a trap on Han Solo, Princess Leia, and his other companions. Head on over to the not-so-dark other side for more and to check out a trailer from this new movie.

| After ‘Star Wars,’ Could ‘Family Guy’ Tackle ‘Indiana Jones’ Next? |
 |

Family Guy and American Dad creator Seth MacFarlane recently had a little chat with the LA Times before a little house party red carpet premiere of his next Star Wars spoof, Something Something Something Dark Side. One of the topics that came up, was what possible popular properties could see themselves being spoofed in the future, to which MacFarlane admitted names like Star Trek, Back to the Future, and Indiana Jones were options. A third Star Wars spoof likely called We Have a Bad Feeling About This is up next and will be released next year, but that doesn’t mean that plans for the future can be discussed. The only issue with the lucky contestants that are listed off is that “Lucas gave us the rights. Lucas agreed to let us do this, and that’s a rare thing. Most legal departments are much more overprotective,” McFarlane explained. And since George Lucas himself gave the thumbs up to Star Wars getting an animated comedy makeover, that leaves Indiana Jones as the obvious best bet.

| Must Watch: Second ‘Family Guy’ ‘Star Wars’ Spoof Gets A Trailer |
 |

A couple of years ago, George Lucas himself gave the OK to Seth MacFarlane and Seth Green to spoof his classic Star Wars saga with their respective shows Family Guy and Robot Chicken. So far, we’ve seen a hilarious Family Guy spoof of A New Hope called Blue Harvest and two Robot Chicken specials. It has taken quite a while to get around to Family Guy‘s take on The Empire Strikes Back, but thankfully it will finally be released on DVD and Blu-ray December 22, 2009 and there is now a new trailer to watch via Apple. The movie is called Something, Something, Something, Dark Side, which is quite fittingly a reference to a previous Family Guy joke. It will follow the basic premise of the movie, as they did the first time around, adding crude and silly humor wherever it will be allowed. Click on over to to the dark side (baddum-cha!) to watch the trailer and read the brief synopsis for the movie. From this peek, it definitely looks like this could be just as funny as Blue Harvest was, and your time shan’t be wasted.
