RELEASE DATE: December 27, 2011 The last time we had a brush with death was in 2010’s The Final Destination. As it turned out, that installment in the horror movie franchise was by far the worst of them all with horrible acting, nonsensical situations, soap opera-level acting, and just an all-around unlikable final product. And that’s coming from someone who very much enjoyed the previous installments in the series for what they are: gruesomely fun guilty pleasures.

| You’ll Never Believe What The Title For ‘Final Destination 5’ Could Be
Bloody-Disgusting has uncovered a bit of information regarding Warner Brothers Pictures fifth installment in the Final Destination franchise. And though we don’t know much about the movie itself, what we read here could just say a lot about what direction the horror flick is heading in. We won’t waste your time — let’s get right to it. According to the source, Warner Bros. is currently leaning toward calling their new movie 5NAL DESTINATION. Yes, that’s actually what words are indicating could be the new title. Five-nal Destination. Seriously.

| Student Of The School Of James Cameron To Direct ‘Final Destination 5’
New Line Cinema has chosen Steven Quale to direct Final Destination 5, the latest chapter in their franchise about an unseen force that comes back to kill those who miraculously survive gruesome and tragic accidents. Quale is a newcomer to directing, but he’s be in the filmmaking game for a long time and has worked under one of the true masters of spectacular productions: James Cameron. Quale started with Cameron in 1989 as a production assistant on The Abyss. Since then he’s worked with the director on special projects for Terminator 2: Judgment Day and True Lies, as a second unit director on both Titanic and Avatar, and as co-director on the IMAX special, Aliens of the Deep. He also worked on Avatar as a visual effects supervisor.
