| First Trailer For ‘Goosebumps’ Movie Starring Jack Black
Sony Pictures has officially released the first trailer for Goosebumps, the movie based on R.L. Stine‘s library of children’s horror books of the same name. The movie was first announced back in 2012. Instead of trying to figure out which of Stine’s original 62 books (with many spinoffs coming later) to use in making the movie, it was decided to instead find a way to use all of them in the same movie. To do this, Stine is an actual character in the movie played by Jack Black, whose many horrors are brought into the real world leading to some Jumanji style madness. You can check out the trailer for Goosebumps below, along with a poster and a synopsis for the movie.

Stine, may have been popular in the 90s and hit its peak when a televised series aired, but it has taken such a long time for the novels to get adapted into a full-length film. Sony Pictures found the potential box office gold that these Goosebumps titles may have and now have hired Monsters vs Aliens director Rob Letterman to direct the film. Acquired back in 2008, a draft was written by Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander, and then later rewritten by Carl Ellsworth and Darren Lemke.
