| Batkid, Batman Save Gotham From Riddler, Penguin As 5-Year-Old Miles Scott’s Wish Comes True [Video]
A couple weeks back we found out that Make-A-Wish was ready to transform San Francisco into Gotham City for a 5-year-old boy who battled leukemia. Now that little boy, named Miles Scott, has seen his dream come true, and in a way not many expected. Thanks to his story spreading like wildfire around the internet, thousands of people showed up to volunteer and to cheer Miles on as he, as Batkid, teamed with Batman himself and traveled around the city in a Batmobile to take out evil villains like the Riddler and Penguin. | Make-A-Wish To Turn San Francisco Into Gotham City For 5-Year-Old Fighting Leukemia
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is going all out for a young boy fighting for his life in San Francisco. The foundation is set to transform S.F. into Gotham City, the fictional city that Batman fights crime in, for 5-year-old Miles, who’s currently battling leukemia. Not only will the city be transformed, but Miles will travel around with an adult Batman to various locations throughout the day where hundreds of volunteers will help different events to take place that will allow Miles to be a real superhero. | ‘Night Of The Owls’ Descends On GothamFollowing the lead in Scott Snyder’s current run on Batman, DC Comics has posted a graphic containing all of the titles that will be participating in the Batman crossover event Night of the Owls. Night of the Owls started this week with a prelude in Kyle Higgins and Eddy Barrows’ Nightwing #8 which kickstarted the first issue in the crossover event, Batman #8 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. The concept of the mini-event is that Gotham City has a sordid past that even Bruce Wayne was unaware of. The Court of Owls, an evil group of assassins, has been controlling the fate of Gotham the entire time. There’s much more to the story including Dick Grayson’s lineage and an all out assault against the Wayne family and other leaders of Gotham City. It’s a war of Bats vs. Owls when most of the Bat-family is called upon to participate.
