Hello There! This is Adam Frazier and you are listening to Skull-Face Island, the official movie podcast of Geeks of DOom! As always I’m joined by Rosemary’s Baby Daddy, David Allen. And the Hansel to my Gretel, producer Tim Grant.

Today on the Show: We’ll discuss the latest installment in the James Bond franchise, Sam MendesSkyfall, starring Daniel Craig as 007. We’ll boot-up the Geek-O-Matic TeleFax for some breaking news: including Jamie Foxx in talks to play Electro in Marc Webb‘s Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jaime King & Jamie Chung join Robert Rodriguez‘s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Bryan Singer To Direct X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and Skyfall screenwriter John Logan is writing the next two James Bond movies.

For our third segment: Ladies and gentlemen, I want to welcome you to the treehouse for a debate that may destroy Skull-Face Island as we know it. And by that I mean, David and I may kill each other with word arrows and mind bullets, or at the least may never speak to each other again over the topic we are about to discuss… Star Wars.

James Bond Image

John Logan, the screenwriter who penned the latest entry in the James Bond series, Skyfall, has been confirmed as the writer for the next two installments as well.

Logan is said to have presented a story arc to producers that would play out over the course of the two movies, and that they liked it enough to immediately set him off to work on them. It’s also said that star Daniel Craig will be back for at least two more turns as Bond (after that is yet to be decided), so this may just be the grand finale they’ve been looking for to close out Craig and move on to the next if need be.

Idris Elba

Idris Elba (Prometheus, Thor) is the perfect candidate to become the next 007. He’s got swagger, he’s British, and he’s actually quite sexy. Should he accept the role – which won’t be available until after Daniel Craig completes two more Bond films – Elba would be the first non-Caucasian to play the elite MI6 spy. So how close is Elba to playing James Bond? Well according to Skyfall co-star Naomie Harris, it is pretty close.

During the press rounds for Skyfall, Harris was asked about who she would like to see play as the first black James Bond. She responded with Elba’s name and gave some interesting details to support her answer.

Skyfall Title

Ever since Daniel Craig became James Bond, the Bond theme songs have been so-so. Granted, there’s only been two songs, but the Jack White and Alicia Keys duet for Quantum of Solace was less than stellar. This time around, MGM and EON Productions have chosen soon-to-be music icon Adele to sing the theme for Skyfall. Now with the film just a few weeks away from its UK release, we are getting our first listen to Adele’s brand new song for the highly anticipated film. We have the player, you just have to listen. Check out the song here below.

The song is sexy, sultry, and smooth, and there are hints of Bond’s main theme layered within it. Powered by some awesome vocals, “Skyfall” is a great song to listen to. Skyfall opens in theaters in the UK on October 26 and the U.S. on November 9th, with IMAX shows on the 8th.

Daniel Craig May Appear As James Bond At Least Two More Times

Skyfall

MGM’S financial snag may have put a minor delay in the number of James Bond movies Daniel Craig could have appeared in, but the actor doesn’t see himself handing off the title of the world’s greatest spy to anyone any time soon. With Skyfall set for release later in the Fall, there is word coming out that Craig would like to appear in at least two more Bond films, taking the number of times the actor has appeared as the character to a grand total of five.

MI6, who first reported on the news, did not reveal who their source was, so let’s take this with a grain of salt. There is no confirmation on the number of films that Craig is signed on for. Normally the number would be three, since many studios are infatuated with trilogies.
