You’ve seen the first teaser trailer for the upcoming 23rd installment in the James Bond franchise, titled Skyfall, and now, after a brief visit to the Queen for the opening of the London Olympics for everyone’s favorite well-dressed spy, comes the first full trailer for the movie.

It’s a trailer that packs a ton of punch. Only two minutes and thirty seconds in length, yet overflowing with action and all sorts of James Bond goodness fans are sure to go silly-faced over. And just think, it almost didn’t happen.

Watch Queen Elizabeth II and James Bond Parachute Into The Olympics Opening Ceremony

Queen Elizabeth II made a spectacular entrance into Olympic Stadium at the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics today when she parachuted out of a helicopter with James Bond.

No, not really, but yeah, kinda. You should watch for yourself in the video here below.

The Queen of England did star along with actor Daniel Craig as James Bond in a 3-minute film directed by Danny Boyle, who was the mastermind behind the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Olympics. In the film, which is reportedly features the 86-year-old royal’s first on-screen performance, James Bond meets Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace where the two boarded a helicopter headed for Olympic Stadium. On their journey, they passed by the city’s popular landmarks, until finally hovering over the stadium, where they jump out wearing parachutes sporting the Union Jack.

Q, the aging techie/gadget support man in the James Bond franchise was clearly absent in the last two films. Now Sam Mendes is bringing him back for Skyfall, only he will be a little bit younger than most James Bond fans remember.

The epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan‘s legend of Batman comes an end in July with The Dark Knight Rises, but once that is behind him, the acclaimed director is setting his sights on some possible projects, and it could be another take on a franchise character. He also says that he will no longer pursue directing an iconic figure in history.

Empire spoke to Nolan who said that he will no longer work towards directing making a Howard Hughes film, saying that Bruce Wayne became his Hughes film. In a way Nolan’s Batman franchise is a lot like the Hughes project he was looking forward to directing. Both were wealthy and quirky characters who started out as an orphan at a very young age.

As the latest installment in the James Bond movie franchise, titled Skyfall, sees its first trailer arriving, another Bond-related project is materializing.

It’s being reported that up-and-coming director Duncan Jones has signed on to make a new biopic about Ian Fleming, the creator of the eternally appealing super spy, James Bond.

The movie will be adapted from Fleming’s biography, Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond by author Andrew Lycett, by screenwriter Matt Brown.
