| Watch: Second ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Prequel Short “2048: Nowhere To Run”
A couple of weeks back we saw the first in a trio of Blade Runner 2049 prequel shorts, titled “2036: Nexus Dawn,” which followed Jared Leto‘s character as he sought a repeal of the prohibition placed on replicants. Now the second prequel short, titled “2048: Nowhere to Run,” has been released. It follows Dave Bautista‘s character, a replicant named Sapper Morton, as he tries to keep a low profile. | Watch: ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Prequel Short “2036: Nexus Dawn”
Before Blade Runner 2049 arrives in theaters in just a little over one month from now, some prequel short films are being released. These shorts will help fill in the gap between the events of Ridley Scott‘s original Blade Runner, which was set in the year 2019, and the new movie, which of course is set in 2049. The first short, which is directed by Ridley’s son Luke Scott, has now been released online. It’s titled “2036: Nexus Dawn,” and sees Jared Leto‘s character, Niander Wallace, as he aims to see a prohibition on replicants repealed. | Joker and Harley Quinn Movie In The Works Starring Jared Leto, Margot Robbie
I sure hope you like the Joker and Harley Quinn, geeks. Because a whole lot of them are incoming. We first saw the Batman villains together in Suicide Squad, played by Jared Leto and Margot Robbie. The actors will also be reprising the roles in the upcoming Suicide Squad 2 and Gotham City Sirens. On top of all of that, we just found out two days ago that a Joker origins movie separate from the established DC extended universe is being developed. That project, however, will cast someone new to play the diabolical prankster. Now comes word of a new project in the works. The movie, which doesn’t have a title yet, will focus on the Joker and Harley Quinn characters, with Leto and Robbie due to play them here as well.

| SDCC 2017: ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Is Out With The Old And In With The New
Blade Runner 2049 is the sequel to Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi cult classic. Because the first film started in 2019, the panel projected a timeline of events that has happened in between the first film and now. A new line of replicants have been built, one of them being played by Dave Bautista‘s character, and while all of that exposition was nice. It was Jared Leto‘s entrance that really stole the show. He was there as a hologram. How could anyone beat that? Check out more on their SDCC 2017 panel below.
