| ‘This Is 40’ Trailer: Apatow’s Heartfelt Look At Family Life
There’s a new trailer for the upcoming Judd Apatow comedy This is 40. The film is the sort of sequel to Knocked Up and will follow the characters Pete and Debbie (Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, respectively) as they enter their 40s. Check out the trailer below. The new trailer doesn’t pack a comedic punch the way the first trailer did. Instead it pushes for the drama aspect of the film as it tries to convey the difficulties most parents and married couples experience when they are approaching their 40s. Trying to balance out a life with kids, a money grubbing father (Albert Brooks), and rekindling a relationship can’t be easy. So I am anxious to see how Apatow is able to balance out the drama with comedy in the film. Plus I just wanted to see more of Pete and Debbie, as they were my favorite characters in Knocked Up.

| Emma Watson, Jason Segel Join Seth Rogen & Jay Baruchel’s Apocalypse Movie ‘End Of The World’
It’s been nearly four years now since we first heard that Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and Evan Goldberg‘s apocalypse comedy trailer, Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse (which you can see here if you haven’t already), would actually be turned into a feature length movie. Since then it has be re-named The Apocalypse…and then re-named again, giving it its current title, The End of the World. With the title changes the movie’s story has also changed, and quite the cast of actors have jumped on board, most of whom we’re used to seeing together on the screen. Even more actors are now joining the project, including Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who’s in negotiations, as well as Jason Segel and David Krumholtz. All three actors will be playing themselves.

| Movie Review: The Muppets |

The Muppets
Directed by James Bodin
Starring Jason Segel, Chris Cooper, Amy Adams, John Henson
Release Date: November 23, 2011
So, let me start this review by saying I wasn’t the hugest fan of The Muppets characters when I was growing up and I’ve never cared for musicals. Even today I have a healthy respect for the fandom and appreciate the iconic nature of Jim Henson’s creations, but am still not what I’d call a fan of the franchise. So with these caveats in mind I may actually be the perfect person to review this film, simply titled The Muppets, or the absolute wrong person. I sort of stand in parallel to Jason Segel, the star of the film and co-writer. He’s the person really responsible for making the film happen. He fought to be involved with the project and fought to get the movie made, all because he loves the characters so much. Segel is an actor having starred in such films as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man, but his true talent may be as a writer. He wrote Forgetting Sarah Marshall, a film that ended up being much better than it should have been.

| Jason Segel Working On A Kids Adventure Film In The Vein Of ‘The Goonies’
Sure, remakes/reboots of films like The Goonies may never ultimately happen, but their influence will always be felt, particularly if people like Jason Segel have any say. According to The Playlist, Segel is hellbent on returning to the first script he ever sold, right around a decade ago, which he describes as a “kids adventure movie in the style of Goonies or Labyrinth.” Sounds interesting enough.
